Ride Along for AI

Build. Contribute. Adopt

Most of the predictions I have seen, if not all of them, for 2023 include AI and the potential for more retail and mainstream adoption. Open AI surprised everyone with two of the biggest wins in Tech last year: Dall -E 2 and ChatGPT.

  • David Marcus of LightSpark predicts that “We will see the beginning of a Cambrian explosion of innovation in AI” New companies will be formed to automate many aspects of work typically performed by information workers across many industries. As such, demand for hardware (GPUs) that powers these applications will increase dramatically

  • Scott Belsky of Behance forecasts “Generative AI will have unexpected implications for content marketing, education, and the war to control the interface. A highly personalised, AI-powered medical assistant, will compete (and eventually replace) our general practitioner”

  • Sam Altman feels "the things that we’ll have to figure out are how we think about fairly distributing wealth, access to AGI systems, which will be the commodity of the realm, and governance, how we collectively decide what they can do, what they don’t do, things like that. And I think figuring out the answer to those questions is going to just be huge". The commoditization is an important piece to the puzzle

If you are a beginner like me and is willing to go down the rabbit hole, Jack Soslow shared the immaculate complication of AI reading list.

What are you building in 2023?
